The car is mapped and holds 1.7 bar but since a trackday it now shoots to 1.5 bar but drops and holds 1.2 bar.

have you checked the gasket under the intercooler or the pipe work that sometimes cracks a bloke was selling that idea for fifty quid on ebay just an idea but worth a check ????
My car has a similar problem, it has a ScoobyECU, which the boost is set at 1.1 bar, but I'm lucky if it reaches 0.8bar, and it don't seem to boost very well
