Default Inconsistent power

Hi all, ive had my 01 bugeye for 6 months now and have started to notice that the power delivery seems to vary quite a bit, sometimes when I floor it I get a nice kick and its off like a rocket and other times it just seems very progressive through the range without any noticable kick. Its got a full decat system , superchip (soon to be changed for a ecutek remap as i dont trust the superchip) and k&n panel. Seemed ok when I first got it but now ive had it a while ive started to notice it more and more. Is this a common thing with the bug eyes as I know they dont have as much kick as the classics or do you think something could be wrong (or am i just getting used to the power).

1. Cold mornings improve the cars response.
2. Fuel quality can affect certain models and some say Optimax deteriorates after a very short time
3. Driving a slower car makes the Scoob fel even quicker when you get back in it.
4. Combination of all /some / more of the above.
