Default Type R boost

I have a Type R V4 and have just fitted a boost gauge (autometer). At full boost in 4th/5th it is going right up to 13.5psi and holding it. It is quite warm here today (about 15 degrees, warm for east Scotland) but is this normal behavior, I thought these cars ran a peak of about 17psi. It does seem a little flat today and the water spray is active every time i use full throttle. It is also showing approx 5psi at 2000 rpm in fifth on full throtle. Does this seem a lot so low in the rev range for a supposedly standard Type R. The car is extremly easy to drive, much more so than my old my99 UK, absolutley no lag and pulls right down at the very bottom.

hmm, sounds like mine is slightly under. Do yours boost from as low in the rev range as mine?

STi3 here, about 1.15 bar and builds strongly from just under 3K and then goes bananas to the redline! The same for 5th I think, Think it hold boost well in all gears but normally concentrating on the road at that point. Will check next time family not in car and straight road (M1!)

p.s. it's all standard (at the noment)

How do you know when the water spray is active? I can't hear mine unless I press the button manually at idle.

When mine is in auto mode and you accelerate hard, you hear a click from a relay under the steering column. Its the same click when i manually operate it and it doesnt do it when the system is off, so I guessed from that that this is what it was.

Do you have a boost gauge on yours? if so, what boost does it show full throttle in 4th or 5th?
