just brought a e-tech wide bar strut brace for my my99, fitted it ok then when i came to shut the bonnet the centre of the bar touches the under side of the bonnet, the bonnet still shuts is this normal?

 

ive just got me a e-tech strut for my97 but it a std one so im not sure about yours but the e-tech lettering is up side down when fitted and i know its fitted right cos the bend is at the back of the intercooler is your the same?

 

Hilly is your left hand brace mounting cut round the bonnet stay on the strut top ? or does it just go over it ?

And yes it is the wrong way round but theyre made like that
