Default DIY aircon-recon kits sold @ Halfords

Was mooching round Halfords this afternoon and noticed something on the shelf called a 'Airconditioning Recon Kit'. Does anyone have any knowledge of this product and whether it works on all motors?

The item costs £30 so I thought I'd flag it up as it may save people some £££'s when they need to fix a problem.

There's a sight glass on the top of the canister (condenser?). If you can see bubbles through it with the aircon running then it may need filling.
