Is there any sort of Standard, or does it vary from car to car, or even day to day. Just noticed MY01 WRX, starting to just flash the green under normal driving. Did it this morning about 3000rpm in 5th gear. And noticed it on the motorway the other day also, 3500rpm 80 miles an hour in 5th, not doing anything aggresive just cruising. Could it be a bad batch of petrol or something like that??

I tend to get one green if either driving with a bit more vigour, or on the odd occassions when accelerating (not vigorously) on the motorway from 80-90mph.

One flash is completly normal and nothing to worry about

It varies from car to car. Generally seems to get worse the closer you are to an oil change. Bad fuel can cause activity but you should only get det when on boost.

If you car just crusing (light throttle and no boost) and you are getting activity, you may want to check there is nothing loose in the engine bay, rattling heat shield etc. As that can cause the right frequency sound to set off the knocklink.
