Default Stutter after roundabout

Just had a weird moment in my WRX (MY05); after going round a large-ish roundabout (fast...), it sort of stuttered when accelerating on the straight.

It was brief; just a couple of times.

Could this be fuel starvation? The tank was about 1/4 full or just under.

It didn't make any strange engine sounds, but the transmission didn't like it much!

Any thoughts? Could this cause any damage?

Thanks for the replies. I'll try and keep it fuller in future; don't want to experience that again!
