Vibrating boost gauge needle
Noticed just recently that on full boost, the needle of the boost gauge seems to be vibrating rapidly (only over a small distance(eg. between 15psi and 15.2psi)).
I don't remember it doing this before, thought it was more steady, and wondered if this was the symptom of anything???

Having thought about it, and answering my own question, I guess it is just the fluctuations between boost solenoid open and boost solenoid closed. So quite normal. Just seems more obvious at present.
The other thing I thought of is, that my car exhaust system may be blowing a bit from one of the gaskets around turbo. Not sure, but concerned downpipe bolts weren't tightened enough last time. Will check tomorrow.

Where the pipe work is plumbed can make a difference. If its connected via a T-piece to the boost/wategate hosing then it does seem to vibrate far more. Fitting the hose straight to the manifold mostly cured it.....but that was with a crap Racetech guage which had no damping, I swapped it for another guage and the only time that vibrates is when I hit a pothole
