I have 98 type R import thats covered 59000mls its ran sweet as a nut 4 the last 12 mths, its been serviced regularly & i always use good fuel with a booster.
was out the w'end having a thrash when i lost all power & my rear view turned in 2 that of pilot (clouds of white) my first thoughts were head gasket but it been striped & ive been told the blocks knackered the head of the piston is pitted (right bank front) as if it were detenating & the cylinder is scored. can these b re lined? if so where?
forgot 2 mention on slight mods full de-cat & induction kit.

I'm trying 2 find out what caused it on 1 hand Have been told this is a common prob? on the other hand its something 2 do with the de-cat!
