Turbo removal..?
I'm thinking about removing turbo (newage WRX) to facilitate changing U/P & D/P, can someone give me precise details (& ideally a few pics)..?
As far as I've found out there is oil and water feeds (banjo bolts),their return pipes, air intake feed and supply and the U/P & D/P. I think there is also an outlet for the wastegate solinoid..???
It sounds quite straight forward and I'm fairly experienced in auto mechanics, just never touched a turbocharger..!
Any advice would be very welcome.

You shouldn't need to remove the turbo to do that job, remove the downpipe (behind the turbo) and then you can get to the up-pipe nuts..... you may need to release the engine mount on that side and raise the engine slighly to enable you to get the up-pipe out, but the new one should fit easily..... really no need to remove the turbo......

Hi Ron,
I didn't fancy messing with the engine mounts but I suppose it's easier than disturbing the turbo..?
Is the need to raise engine slightly so you can get oem U/P out due to it's bulk with the cat..?
How much easier is the access to the up-pipe with the D/P removed..?
Cheers,
Jason
