why does it want to stall

My 98 STI Jap Import. piper cross induction, straight through hks exhaust Have put on a Blitz Dump Valve which seems to be working fine, however when I blip the throttle the revs go up but then want to drop - almost stalling the car. Can anyone offer any advise. Much appreciated.

sounds like it could be the maf, disconnect it and if the car doesnt stall you need a new maf

Have you tried a std DV?

A mate had a DV wheer the DV spring was too weak and used to hold open slightly after letting off. It stalled at every junction
