Default WILL Phase 1 Inj Fit a Sti 98 Type R

Hi guru`s

Will phase 1 740 injectors fit a 1998 sti Type R as I have been told that it might have a phase 1.5 rail in it.

what sort of power are you running? 740cc's maybe overkill

Well hoping to push nearer the 400 bhp mark and then later on go for the 2.5 conversion and start to wind the power right up eventually aiming for around 600 - 700 but I am talking years down the line.

for 400bhp 550cc's would be okay but if your planning power like that you might even need bigger injectors then 740cc's. good luck hope you achieve what your aiming for.

Thanks Banny will be good to see the results on the next rolling road day. I only use the figures as a comparison to the last time I was on the same rollers.

Your gonna laugh. Well lane three times and have used Autogas2000 at Carlton minniot once. I rely more on the differences between runs than the total output. I am happy if figures go up

Banny,

You can see SubtypeR and several other 'sorted' motors at Well Lane next Sunday (20th) when the Tyne Tees Scoobies have their RR day.

Cheers

Thanks martin you know me so well. I think its great when people quote questimates on total costing. Especially when I have already spent about £45k on the car upto now. Guess some people dont need to worry about the money.

Unless you up the fuel pressure 550s will max out in the early 400s.
There are no reliable big power 2.5 litre engines that I am aware of. Until a lot of further development takes place 2 litre and 2.3 litre engines will continue to show 2.5s the way home.
