Question MAF Sensor for MY98

Just bought a new MAF sensor from Jennings Subaru and asked for part no. 22680AA280 as stated on the MAF body, the part they gave me was 22794AA010, got home and when I went to fit it I discovered that they dont look the same, the new sensor has a flange with two holes for it's mounting screws and the old one has a flange for four screws, even the plug socket is different, called them up and they assured me it is the right part, have I got a sensor for a later model?

They have given you a MY99 MAF sensor. MY98 is different type and more expensive, doesnt usually fail either.

It turns out the sensor they supplied was for a MY99, they didn't have a part number for the MY98 sensor alone and said I would need to buy the whole thing which costs £230 +vat, has anyone changed just the sensor on a 98 car or knows the part number.
