Grinding noise coming from front left wheel
It only happens when going round a fast / tight right turn.
Wheel bearing sounds the most likely cause, but thought that was more of a whining noise?
I don't get anything when driving in a straight line or on right turns.
Anyone know how much a new bearing would cost and how easy they are to replace?
Cheers,
mark.

Did it start all of a sudden and does the pitch of it change when you steer for left to right?
Had this a couple of time with my old uk turbo - it was a stone that had become stuck between the disc and the disc cover. Makes a hell of a racket but sorts itself out eventually. Happened to a guy at a track day I was at recently. He'd been in the gravel trap so it wasn't really surprising but he was ready to strip the whole hub down.

I noticed it once or twice around christmas, but have just started a new job where there's a lot of roundabouts from dual-carriageway on the way, so it happens nearly every day if I take the roundabouts quite fast. Have been able to reproduce the sound going fast round a turning, but only right turns, left turns are ok.
The sound is not squealy at all though - it's hard to describe sounds, but it's a kind of grinding metal, although it's more like thin sheet metal!
