Default Is this Normal??

On my MY96 Sti Ra I had my air box off at the weekend and also had the resonator box off (this is the part of the air box closest to the inlet manifold). There is a right handed large pipe coming off this down to the turbo and a further hose off this elbow pipe which feeds to underneath the intercooler.
Ok getting onto my questions, Inside the elbow pipe (the one going form the resonator box to the turbo) I noticed what seemed like dried up oil stuck to the insides. It appeared to be around the exit hole that leads to the pipe going to underneath the intercooler and this pipe was fairly grimy as well.

When I looked into the turbo, I saw one drop of fresh oil but it looked clean other than that. Now if you can follow that, your a geneous. I hope that all makes sense. Is this something to worry about or is this normal for a car of the year.

Cheers.

i think youll find its normal (well my car has a bit of dried up oil in it any way)
think it just passes through the turbo a bit.

after all i dont think any seal in a turbo could stop 100% of oil passing

as long as the isnt loads then if i wer u i wouldnt worrie too much !!!

the only way to stop this is to fit a oil catcher tank as the engine breathers also return to the intake for emision purposes
