Default few things

got my first scooby, w reg turbo (uk) no mods, first plank Question
1, all I can hear is a winey noice, is this the turbo and is that normal?
2, at tick over revs jump up and down and stalls now and again, had this on my fiero and it was just the tps (throttle position sencer) could this be problem?

Try searching under MAF - when it is faulty it seems to cause eratic idling. I've not had my Scoob long so I'm sure the great and good will be along to correct and expand shortly.
As for the noise, you'll need to give some more details - is it whining all the time not matter what the engine speed?

whining starts about 40 to 50 ish, then stays constant, not very loud, think its the turbo, just wana make sure.
