Shaking?
Hi All
Have just bought my second scoob in the shape of a fine looking black JDM STi 5. Well chuffed with it and goes like a rocket. One thing that I have noticed is that when stationry with the engine at idle the car feels like its gently shaking from the engine. Its not in any rythem and doesnt feel right.
Has anyone experienced this or does anyone know the reason? Hope its not bad news.
Also when pulling up to stop and then when pulling away there is like a short clunky noise. Any ideas? Brake callipers rocking? Sticky shock? someone mentioned diff? Is this common or not?
Any suggestions greatly received.
Thanks in advance

My Sti v3 'shakes/rattles/rolls' when ticking over too. Normal I think as the Sti mounts are stiff
Clunks on pulling off hard are common to my car too!
Clunks when driving like a granny are not.
Sticky brake pads in the calipers?

Most scoobs will feel like this, its due to the configuration of the engine for one (pistons going side to side rather than up and down), my new JDM STi is much better than my old classic though, much smoother, possably due to the extra few kg's around her belt

Thats good to hear thanks chaps. The clonking noise is bearable just a bit annoying. As long as nothings gonna fail or ping off at high speed I guess I can put up with it for the mo!
