Question Fuel & Brake Lines

With the fitting of my Roll cage i have had to remove the factory fitted brake and fuel lines.

Now has come the time to put it all back together and so i'm after some advice.

I want to fit uprated lines so i was thinking steel braided for both running down the cente of the car. Has anyone done this already and if so what would they recomend?

Also would increasing the size of the hosing diameter improve things ????

Thanks
Chris.

HI CHRIS
I am on with building the same machine. i put the origional fuel pipes back in,and the brake pipe i put down the middle of the car but i used copper pipe to keep the cost down.then i used braded hose from chasis to hub.
hope that helps.

Cheers burty,

i was considdering uprated braided hosing from tank to engine and calipers to servo with possibly an increase in diameter of at least the fuel lines, has anyone done this before or is it going to be far too expensive ??????

depends what you deem expensive (i.e. in light of the final build cost).................

done quite a few grpN cars over the years, with everything from the O.E. lines to pukka Aeroquip throughout dependant on the customers budget............

as above, you could re-use the O.E. lines and just fit aeroquip "drop" lines for the wheel end (£50 'ish)...........the other extreme is to use aeroquip thro' out with pukka bulkhead fitings, etc............recently completed a full international spec EVO with ACD, etc. (so various extra lines compared to scooby) and the lines cost was about £1500!!

you pays yer money and all that.................
