I also like many others invested in the fantastic Blitz Nurspec cat back.

I have a magnex DP 3" also and the rest etc etc.

WAY to loud for me after 6 months!!! Sounds great though, but fancy making a change.

The centre section has a baffle, even though it isnt very big.

Q, can i add another one to quiten it down? if so how will it effect the remap from BRD?

I have been told as long as it is 3" ID it wont make any difference at all.

Was hinking about buying a 3" baffle or a Blitz centre section and getting my mate the welder to plumb it in.

What do you think to that?

 

if u have the back box then try getting a bung for it or u could even try to make one?

 

i have the bung but it rattles and it def looses hp.

Not much you can do, other than the bung. Best to have it mapped with it out, as you have done - then use it as need be.

Ive just chopped my HKS Hiper in for a 3" Revolution cat back as id like it to only be a little more noisy than standard. Can let you know how that works if you like.

Will be leaving it on without a remap for about a month, but doubt its more free flowing than the HKS, so should be ok in the meantime.

I cant use a bung! dont want to!!!

Just want a little reduction, got a DB rating of 105db.

Was told a mid section would drop it to 101db-ish.

Anyone know a supplier of baffles?

 

I still dont think you can do much to the mid section to help. Its the design of the tailpipe and size of the box which is where the amplification is coming from. HKS system is a bit quieter. Oh, I have one for sale

I have a centre silencer which will quiten it down particularly the boom. You can get you local custom exhaust place to fit it onto you exisiting centre section. Its about 25cm long and wont effect the airflow.
