Default Help - I'm new!!!

Hey Y'all.

I've just traded in my Civic Type R for an 03 WRX.

I guess this question has been asked 100 times already, but whats the
easiest way to unleash an extra few bhp?

Luckily I buy tyres for a famous Fast Fit company and therefore have contacts
at Janspeed (They make Scoobysport right??)

Anyway - They've given me very good prices for the following:

Downpipes.
1st inter pipe
2nd inter pipe.

I've already got a scoobysport back box so wondered if y'all would
recommend me investing in the above?
The should I look at the air intake?

Cheers!!
Don.

Don,

Full Janspeed Decat would be a great start (as long as warrenty is not an issue)

IMHO you should leave the Air Intake as it is. Possibly consider an aftermarket panel filter.

Enjoy

Thanks Mate.

I guess I can always swap the parts over if I ever need to claim under warranty.

Am I right in saying Janspeed make the scoobysport range??

As far as i know they do make the scoobysports exhausts.

Is this offer limited to just yourself,or can you get other people cheaper parts .
i'm in the market for a janspeed downpipe.

Don, you didn't mention if anything has already been done on the car when you got it. If it's an 03 model, due to the warranty it's likely that it's either stock or has had a PPP already performed on it. If it's a PPP then cheap horsepower is not really that much available as it's all been teased out by the PPP. Having said that, if it is stock, then as Ninny mentioned a full decat is a very good idea, as well as a panel fiter. Unline most naturaly aspirated cars, the impreza has a very good airbox that is not an obstruction to it's aspiration. It's uncomon to replace the airbox in post 02 imprezas before 400 horsepower. Replacement airboxes tend to suffer from heat-soak and thus are ill-advised. When you're done with the full exhaust line and panel filter, go get your car remapped and that should make you good for about 270-280 horses which is about all the turbo on your WRX is good for.

And welcome to Scoobynet!

Top quality advice there mate.
One question though - what does PPP mean??

The car is bog standard other than a scoobysport back box and a nice
set of gold 18" prodrive rims.

Don't think I can get these parts for other folks i'm affraid.
All in there's like 4 or 5 bits of pipe that they're giving me for around
£200..... Seems like a good deal me thinks...

PPP stands for Prodrive Performance Pack factory fit option from Sabaru, you get a new fuel pump, silicon turbo hose,Prodrive back box, and a re-mapped ecu=more power.

If you have a warranty and want to keep it that way yes, if you do'nt then decat, tek 3 remap, and a new fuel pump will give you more power for about the same money.
