Talking Fault code help

Ok just got back from a dealer who told me i had 2 fault codes on my98wagon 2000 turbo

Fault code 31 was told it was throttle position sensor where is this and how much do they cost

Fault code 49 was told this was a co resistor where can i find this and what is it
Any help would be fantastic

TPS is the black plastic box that bolts onto the side of the throttle body. Cant be fixed, new one is the only option. Scandalously expensive for what it is. Quite easy to fit, little tricky to set up at first, as its adjustable on 2 bolts.

Did he show you the TPS voltage on the select - might just need adjusting, but doubt it.

Not sure on 49.

also try an ecu reset, unplug the battery for an hour
then do the error check (black connectors)

I don't think that Saxonfields site is correct on that one, they are for other Subaru models - MAF on an Impreza is 23.

Mark you are right the error is defo co2 resistor and its code is 49 i have the print out

It was an ecu reset that bought the code up in the first place. They did a reset thro the select monitor it hasnt come up since then just worried i may be doin damage
