Red face "Stuttering" at 80.....

Just had a long run over France this weekend. Sunday and Monday, on three or four occaisons, I'm in traffic at about 80, in fifth, and pull out to ovetake, so put my foot down, car picks up, but then feels like it's hit a limiter, or I've hit the brakes, for a split second, then picks up and goes. This is in fifth at about 3000 revs, so I'm wondering if it's the turbo, or maybe fuel or air supply? Anyone have any ideas, please?

Could be a few things but check the coil packs or the MAF sensor to start with.

Had to replace the MAF on my MY00 as it got very bad but started off with a flat spot occasional but more noticable at motorway speed.
