Default "Random" boost levels with Blitz Spec-S

Had my Blitz Spec-S all set up nice....took ages!!!!

Anyway.......six weeks has passed since I drove my car (sounds like a song title) and the boost went straight to the "warn" level that I'd set.

Could it be because it was a very cold day??

Seemed better the next day and it was a bit warmer.

You will get slightly higher boost with one of these in the colder weather.

Is your warn level only a little bit higher than your actual designated boost setting? What settings have to programmed in?

Also, What have you set the gain to? set it to high and the car will have a tendency to overboost if you are nailing it as the solenoid can't "catch up" in time.

Rich,

I have the warn, just above the level 4 boost.....thought it safer to do that....?

Level 4 boost is actually set to about 1.28-1.30bar.....not seen any more than a flicker of the second green on the Knocklink while using Optimax. Got an amber with Super unleaded, so don't use level 4 unless using Optimax.

Warn is set to 1.33 bar

Gain is set to 5

The only time I have seen any real activity on the Knocklink with Optimax, is if I'm driving hard and when changing from say second to third, it will give an instantaneous flash up to maybe the LED before the big 'un!

Cheers,

Marty
