Default STi 5/6 Owners - what power you running?

Just out of interest...

Im going for a TEK3 at the end of this month and considdering whether to keep with the mods ive got, or go further....

Currently have:
HKS Headers
HKS Up-pipe
HKS Mid and BB 3"
H&S DP
Green panel

Aiming for 330/340 on a cold day Guess the next stage is pricey and the - FMIC / pump / reg / turbo are the bottlenecks.

Any other minor mods that would be worth doing? Don't like the noise of the K&N 57i and question its benefits.

Just interested to see how far others have pushed their's. And not yours Harvey - its a bit further than im planning

What power is it making at the moment, you might already be there.

My sti 5 is pretty stock at the moment but makes 320bhp. The only mods are,
H & S 3" downpipe
Blitz NUR spec exhaust
Walbro pump and FSE pressure reg
STI air filter.

Its all pretty minor stuff but not bad gains.

Not sure as its dets a fair bit, so dont want it RR'd til its remapped.

Thats a pretty good figure. Depends what my headers and up-pipe are worth I guess...

What torque figure did you get? (important bit!)

Fair point. Don't really see any det with mine but with the additional breathing mods yours could be running that bit leaner. Take it you use booster?

Think it was about the 260 mark but would have to check the graph to be sure. What I do remember about the torque curve was how flat it was. It peaked at roughly 3500prm and didn't drop off at all until 8000rpm.

Of course this could all be old news as it's booked in for an Apexi Power FC with Andy F for a week Sunday.

Great, would be good to compare results. Im going to PE in Feb so will let you know how I get on.

No OB at the moment, I was using it to some good effect but best to run without it for a few tanks before mapping, just to get rid of it all. Still detted at higher RPM's though... Your pump and reg will be helping there I guess...

I would definatly replace the fuel pump before the Tek3.
I think you should see around 330 ish with your mods.

I know some mappers would suggest replacing the pump at this stage.

Had a long chat with BRD as I was intending upgrading, and they were happy to keep the standard setup. The standard pump / reg / injectors are ok. Had a trawl around and the flowrates needed are within its range.

Depends who you ask but as they are mapping it... If the turbo was changing (thus increased flow / pressure) then yes I would.
