Question HELP! wheel removal

i feel like a idiot asking this, but only being a novice at this diy stuff im stuck, ive only ever worked on minis before and never come across this problem, i jacked up the back wheel on my 93 wrx import, removed all 5 nuts and the wheel wont budge, is the nut in the centre of the wheel supposed to come off aswell to remove the wheel, or do i have a big problem with the car!!!

Once the five nuts are removed, the wheel should come straight off...

Just give it a bit of welly - could be just rust!

Mine was the same, Got a piece of wood on the inside edge of the wheel and used a hammer to work it off.

Once the wheel's off you can see where it gets stuck in the centre - clean off with a wire brush and use a bit of copper grease and it shouldn't happen again.

Mike.

On my old Escort, 2 of us took it in turns to kick a large piece of wood until eventually we leavered the wheel off

I could have run with no wheel nuts on and I'd have been ok.

Sometimes I think they need some brute force.

thanks guys, i tried to get it off with some brute force, but it wouldn't give, so i had to give in and get my other half to get it off for me .

When we got the wheel off you could see where it had rusted, deffinately needed the copper grease, thanks again.

Never be to embarrassed to ask questions no matter how simple or stupid they may be. We all have to start somewhere. After all that's what forums like these are all about to broaden ones understanding just that bit further.

Glad you sorted the problem out.
