electronic boost controller

Default electronic boost controller

hi all. tried changing the restrictor valve on my 2003 sti to get more boost but the ecu spotted it straight away. can you up the boost using an electronic boost controller??? i haven't got anywhere near enough cash to buy a chip and do a re-map! please help, must go faster. cheers

can no-one help me with this? should i get an apexi avc-r boost controller and an s-afc2??

if you set it up for too much you are likely to get fuel cut and/or det problems.

get a dawes if you must tweak the boost..
Far simpler, and probably a better idea if you want more boost on the cheap with no other real supporting mods... (fuelling etc..)

It's not 'the law' to adjust to the fuelling to compensate- but I'd say its sheer common sense. Some say '**** it' and just bung a dawes on and crank it up- and they are lucky no probs.. others have found out the hard way. its a gamble.

just dont come crying to us when you set the dawes too high and you melt a piston etc..
