Question still trying to wire it up

just on with changing uk engine for an sti lump. the wires for the coil pack and idle valve are giving problems. this is because the sti coil has 3 wires and the uk has 6 wires . does anyone know which wires i need to use.
same aplies to the idle valve 3 on sti,6 on uk.

any help would be great.

Need more detail mate.

What year is the car that you have?

What year is the STI engine?

Sounds like you might have a Phase 2 STI engine and a Phase 1 car which is a bit of a pain....

hello there ,car is my99 and engine is an sti v4 ,coilpack in middle. idle valve over to the left of engine(from behind). valve on old engine built into butterfly valve assy.
