Default Turbo question MY04 PPP STi

My future plans are to replace my stock IHI VF35 turbo, remove the PPP ECU and have stock ECU reflashed with ECUTEK.

For the time being I will use the PPP ECU.
My car has a GGR exhaust, panel filter and fuel pump.

In high gears (i.e. 4th) my car holds 1.5 bar up to 6000 rpms and then drops to about 1.2 to redline.

I would like to ask the experts how my car will work with a slightly bigger turbo.
After doing my research I have concluded that the best options would be TD05-16g or vf34 or vf23.

Will the PPP ECU provide enough fuel for the tdo5 16g?

thank you

The main problem isn't the fuelling Dimitris, the PPP ECU can support any of the new turbo you choose but wastegate duty cycles and probably advance!

With ANY change of turbo, you will need a remap.

If you are not remapping straight away, you will need to carefully monitor boost levels and det etc

You may need to use a manual or electronic boost controller to limit your boost levels.

IMO you should budget for a remap as soon as you replace tue turbo

thanks for your replies.

How exactly will ecutek provide a better map than the PPP?

Do you guys suggest to lower the advance when using a td05 16g turbo for example?

Will it be safe to use with my PPP ECU an long as I get no det?

Finally do you agree that the td05 16g will have little lag (compared to a VF34) and great top end?

thanks

Prodrive uses Ecutek to create their "generic" maps.. you can check it from the Ecutek pages! Lol!

http://www.ecutek.co.uk/pricing/

"Performance Packs with Factory Warranty from Prodrive"

Tuner with proper custom mapping abilities can create more better mappings.. and also suit the new modifications (turbo's etc)
