Check engine light?

Check engine light?
Had the car for 6 months (MY95 WRX), never seen the light before this morning.
'Check engine' light came on when I was doing a steady 55 in a 50. A few seconds later it went out.
Any ideas/anything I should check? Car after and before it came on was running sweet as a nut as always, even though it has just passed 100k.
Only changes/mods I have done are fitting of knocklink and new wheels - so its not as if I have been messing about under the bonnet.
Previous owner has decatted, fitted a green panel filter and turbosmart dv - no other engine mods.
Any help mucho appreciated.
