Default Cutting out

Had this problem a while back but it cleared ok. When im slowing down through the box, if i leave the clutch in too long the revs should hold at tickover revs but they dont, they drop right down and the car cuts out, as soon as i let the clutch out again if its in gear it restarts as if its being bump started.
Any clues???

Have you checked for air leaks on pipework etc:
Clean out the idle control valve?

Once you've saved it from stalling, does it idle OK, or does it hunt? Or do you need to keep revving it to prevent it from stalling...?
