yes, the only 2 that have been replaced fully are the starter motor and the link to the body from the battery. Also added a strap from the ecu to the battery.

So you removed the oe from the starter and body?
Have you used the correct cable for the current needed?
Is the earth to the starter on the correct bolt fixing?
Ive seen people fit new starter\g-box earths and the cable used will not carry the initial load needed,Ive left the original earths on,but to make sure it didnt fry if the oe broke i used heavy gauge on the starter and 80a for the rest.
1.Batt - starter top fixing bolt as oe
2.Starter fixing bolt to ecu mounting bolt
3.Batt- to left hand sus turret
4.Batt- to left manifold
5.left manifold to alternator
6.alternator to right manifold
7.right manifold to right hand sus turret

Try this to check your earths...........
Get a jump lead from the battery negative and stick it on the starter\g-box then get the other one and stick it to the body and see how it starts,if ok your earths are not heavy enough to carry the current.

I actually installed the kit in 2 halfs. I've been running the Starter and battery to body link for about a month with no problems. I added the ECU and manifold straps at the weekend, which seem to have caused the difficulties.

This kit was made up by 1 of the mods on imprezasport.net. It has been fitted to numerous cars with out a problem. I have now cured the hard to start problem by changing the ecu, now it just wont go below 1000rpm with out dying on me.

You've probably now just unearthed *excuse the pun* a sensor problem by effectivley resetting the ECU.
