Turbo gasket?
Fuelling?(but im sure it would be like hitting a wall throwing you forward)
Check the Earthing (1st thing i would do)
Any gear or just 5th?
Boost problem/intercooler hair line crack?

do u mean the earth strap from the engine how would that effect it
ithink its just 5th about 5000 rpm seams to get to there ok and then put you r foot to the floor and it dont go nowhere
the gears are really short on the imports so u get into 5th quite quick i seam to find

I had an earth wire of my car(200sx) and it felt a little like hitting fuel cut but not as severe.
It could be the limiter if not removed.
Im no car or scooby expert but i do know quite a few problems and how to solve them.
