Default Recommend me a Panel Filter.

As stated above.

I want to try and get a decent Panel Filter for my car.
Recommendations and website address would be appreciated.

The filter is for a MY02 WRX.

I've heard the STI filters are excellent, but are they paper or material and are there any that perform better than these ?

Think its either STI or Green, heard that K&N use a tad too much oil, don't want to take the risk of MAF problems.

Where did you here K&N use too much oil...? I ran one for 12 months without any problems whatsoever. To be honest, I doubt you'll notice any difference between any of the ones mentioned by richiewong...

ran OE paper filter for 5 yrs and my MAF still died. Other than induction kits, I've yet to see some solid evidence that any of the panel filters have directly killed a MAF.

I'm now running an STI filter with my new MAF.

Personally, I can't tell any difference.

I think the ITG is the only one that people can really claim MAF failure because of the physical deposits left on the sensor.

I douby whether the K&N would cause it and it would be difficult to prove. Maf's can and will fail on a standard filter, just because they are inherently crap

You wont go wrong with the STi, K&N or Green panel...

Quantify "very good"

Ive heard JR are supposed to be ok. What micron size, pressure drop, flowrate? Oiled or dry?
