Cold weather - overboost protection - coilpacks failing due to climate or all three together.

two things to check, firstly that the speedo cable is in properly on the top of the gearbox (trust me it does happen) if the ecu isnt reading it you wont get boost over 3k and it feels like something is cutting the ignition and secondly check all your vac pipes are seated correctly and havent cracked, this is the most common problem with them and leads to similar symptoms.
