Default Missfire when cold!!

Hello

Please can you help, my K reg WRX import has been sat out side and not used for about 4 days, now its been a bit damp and wet outside. I got in the car yesturday and drove it down the road. Now when setting off at very low RPM I got a bad miss fire. I had to give the car quite a bit of revs when cold to get it to move from the junction. The car stayed like this for about 5 mins till it warmed up. Once warmed up the car drove as norm, revs, boost, idle etc all perfect. I thought the problem might go away as maybe the engine could just be a little damp. I got in the car this morning and same problem again if anything a little worse. If I try pull away from a junction in 1st or slow down in 2nd the car missfires bad and almost stalls!!! Again after keeping the car warmed up in about 5 mins it drove as norm again.

Any ideas what the problem could be?? Any I could check?>??

Thanks
James

Hello

No I dont have any mates with scoobys, How much are coil paks and are they easy to fit yourself?

I would of thought if it was spark plugs it would missfire when hot and when running full boost?

Just a little update.

Last night there was a frost but no rain at all. I took the car out today and it ran perfect from cold?? So it must be the damp?

I'm not very technical but had a similar problem and cured it with replacement plug leads. I know this sounds bizarre but had tried new plugs, considered coil packs but tried the leads first and now no problems.
