Default Fuel Pump help needed!

My Wagon has now been off the road and with a subura mechanic for 10 weeks (yep you heard right!!). I originally left the car with him to fit a TD05, and on the way over to his I had what I thought were a couple of misfires. I told him agout it and he said he would check the plugs etc.

When he went to start the car the following morning, there was no fuel getting to the engine. He checked the cam and crank sensors first, then removed the immobiliser, and has since changed the fuel pump relays and main relays, but still nothing (the pump runs ok with a direct feed from a battery).

A few other people have looked at it, but no-one can figure out why this is happening!!

He has said that there is nothing else he can do!!

My question is, can i take power directly from the ignition to the fuel pump (with fuses along the line obviously!) in order to use the car?? What would be the problems, ia any, from doing this??

Has anybody got any ideas - I am really missing her, not sure how much more I can take!!!!!

Thanks all in advance

Theres a problem with some wrx ecu and the power feed to the fuel pump. My brother had the same thing on his. i think it give the ecu the power to cut the fuel in case of a bad sensor fault but not sure! all thay did was run power to this wire and all was fine. But dont know exactly what they did or what wire it was sorry i'll try ang get the mumber if you want hope this helps

Thanks for the replys guys, current ECU is a 3B (I think, been a while since I looked - 1995 JDM WRX Wagon), but I have a Z4 waiting to go in there as soon as I get the car back. I did tell the guy who was doing the work that |I had the ECU but he assured me it wasn't the problem (he works for subaru, so I presume he knows what he is talking about, but will be interesting to see!!). No Alarm on the car, just an immobiliser, cannot tell you the make, as it came already fitted from Japan, but as this has been taken out of the equation, cannot see it being the problem!!

Can anyone tell me the size of fuse I should be using for a direct feed from the ignition to the fuel pump???

Thanks again everyone

Can't find the fault!!!!

I'd take it somewhere else pretty sharpish.

Has the immobiliser been removed properly? you can't just unplug the unit 'cos it leaves loads of the circuits that it interrupts open.
Get someone to check a wiring diagram to see where the feed comes from for the fuel pump and follow it back, also check you have a good earth.
I can't see why he can't fix it!!

Mike.

He is the only Subaru trained mechanic in the area, which is a bit worrying!!

Think I am just going to take the car back off him tommorrow, route the power directly to the fuel pump and put the Z4 in and pray!!!

Thanks for your help
