Question Knocklink lights when starting car

Have recently had a Knocklink fitted to my pretty much standard UK MY99 turbo and am getting 3 or 4 lights (have seen the red light a couple of times) when starting the car.

My question is whether this is normal?

The Knocklink was fitted by a very experienced Subaru mechanic (who's fitted plenty before) so I'm pretty confident it has been done properly, and when driving I rarely see more than one green, and have never seen more than two.

Would be interested to hear what other peoples experiences are.

Cheers,

Si

thats perfectly normal, i actually find it's actually a very useful way to test if your leds are working!! especially if you have remote mounted them.
The reason this happens is because the knocklink picks up the noise from the starter as the sensor is located right next to it.
