hi

can any one plz tell me why i sometimes get a pop from my exhaust when i take my foot off the accelerator
not always ,just now and then

I get this too on my MY95 WRX and i was told it was because i use Octane Booster. I don't know if this is true or not just thought it might help

thanks mate,but i dont use octane boost so i guess that rules that out for u anyway

your cars are running occasional advance timing and a little rich on over run.

When you lift off, unburnt fuel goes through a hot exhaust. When it gets close to the tail pipe exit it finds fresh oxygen and burns with a pop.

Nothin wrong with this, and I believe the effect is increased by replacing a recirc dump valve with a vent to atmos.
