Default newbie troubles!!!

Hi all! new here so plz be kind

can anyone help!

I have '93 impreza wrx (which I've had for a few years now - with no problems)

last week I fitted a apexi s-afc (generation 1) but when I finished installing I started the car and the engine cut out after a few seconds!!!
I tried disconnecting the battery for a hour - still no good.
the only way the engine carries on running is if I disconnect the air flow sensor (but obviously runs like a bag of ****e).
My ecu is a subaru part but I don't think it's standard to my car (it runs about 1 bar of boost)

anyone have any ideas what the problem/cure is?

cheers guys
Mark.

So it ran alrigh to you did an install

After the install it didn't run

As XtremeScoobies said...If the car ran before you installed the device, it's either your wiring or the SAFC is fcucked!
