hiya gurus..ive got a 94 wrx with a bit of a problem. the engine temp is reading fine when the car is all warmed up..its halfway up the gauge. my heaters though are either not coming on..or very feeble and come on after the car has been stood for a bit.they blow both hot and cold air when they work.

there is an audiable click sound from the right side of the dashbard towards the top when ever the heater dial is turned on..even if the heater itself isnt coming on. and then theres a weird sort of hot water/curry smell too. is the matrix knackered or is there a way around this that one of you have solved?

check the water level sounds like a possible heat matrix leak.
