Default CRANK SENSOR (WHERE ABOUTS)

Iam going to do an oil change on MY01 WRX and was wondering if it was recomended that i should disconect the sensor to this. After reading what feels like hunderds of posts on this i am a bit unsure if it is the same process to do this on the newage as everthing seems to be on the classic.

I no it maybe a bit of a stupid question but can anyone tell me exactly where it is, i have had a pretty good look around the altenator but cant seem to find it.

Thanks.

correct johnsti, thats where it is. To test if it is the crank sensor disconnect and try and start the car, it should just keep cranking and not fire, reconnect and it should start.
