whats it like to do a gasket on a my94 impreza. Can someone tell me thinking of doing it the weekend.......

Which side is it on?

Its reasonably straight forward but can be tricky to hold the gasket in place when putting the cover back on. Also, make sure you replace all the rubber seals on the cover bolts.

Good advice there mate, deffo replace the bolt seals as well!!

A small smear of instant gasket on the gasket will hold it in the cover

It's not too bad, did the drivers side on mine at the weekend. Took about 2 hours all in, allowing for a fair bit of f**king about after I dropped a bolt into an inaccesible place and had to crawl under the car and take the undertray off to get it back. The actual rocker cover job is pretty straight forward though, as others have said, do the bolt seals at the same time and the half moon plugs too.
