Question Coolant temp ?

Hi....

How hot should the coolant temperature be ?

Just plugged in my Ecutek dash display and it went to 96 celcius, the alarm level is 95C.

Is this really hot and what could be the cause, the car has sufficient level of coolant.

What is the normal temp for modified turbo cars in general ?

Thanks in advance

Mine (MY99 PPP) peaks at 97 and normally runs in the high 80's to low 90's.

Thanks m8...

I read that the optimum coolant temp is in the 190-195 F range...

When I first plugged my SECS monitor in all the alarm settings were set to factory default levels. The first run up the road triggered the lot & I thought the car was heading for meltdown.
Peak Battery Voltage was set at 12v.Way too low.
Peak temp was at 95C like yours.
So they all needed a bit of tweaking.
