Default Plugs for modified UK, which type - Anyone running coppers ?.

I am looking to change plugs on my UK. Its running a TD05, ECUTEK3, full decat, and peaking about 1.5bar, holding around 1.3/1.4.

I currently have PFR6's in the car, but is has been suggested PRF7's would be better. However have been part of other Owners club's such as GTO. It was generally accepted that if you were going to change plugs frequently that coppers were better. Copper provides a better spark, therefore better performance. But they won't last that long, but if you were going to change every 3-6K miles then coppers were good and as a bonus cheaper.

What is everyone else running or would recommend for my car ?. Has anyone run coppers in a modified UK or STI ?.

Would PFR7's need to be gapped ?. or use straight out the box?.

thanks for help in advance.

PFR 6's are probably ok, but 7's are probably better.

Always check the gap on a new plug before fitting, most of the time they are ok but I have found them wrong from time to time.

Try here if buying online

http://www.spark-plugs.co.uk/

This is where I got my original plugs from but I think I'll get my next set (due soon) from Alyn at asperformance.com

look in the third party and suppliers section of scoobynet for feedback

Not much response here Rob..........................

Gap em' to 0.7mm or even 0.65mm. I think they normally come at about 1mm which is way to big. The standard gap is 0.7mm.

www.Scoobymania.co.uk sell em', So do www.camskil.co.uk
