HKS SSQV DV - Is it model specific on a new age ?

Anyone know if an HKS SSQV Dumper is model specific on a New Age Impreza ?

ie. will one fitted to an 03 STi transfer ok to an 01 WRX .. ?

I assume this is chungstersti's dump valve that was for sale. I asked about it too and apparantly it won't even fit my MY02 STI either which is really odd. Thought the MY02 STI and MY03 STI had identical engines?! Interested to know about this one.....
