Hi guys. i know scoobyecu and vos chips can be used on pre 96 cars, but what upgrades are available for the 97 models, because they use a different ecu with no spare ic socket?.......... is the 97 ecu remappable?

 

In my opinion, best option for a 97 is the Apexi Power FC (or similar ECU replacement)

Apexi appears cheaper than most and behaves very much like the OEM ECU, I no idling or hotstart problems that you can get with some alternatives.

I've got the Apexi on my 97 and it is superb.
