Default Early UK turbo mods?

Whats the best way to improve the engine and response from pre-96 cars?

So far
Panel filter
Full decat and free flow exhaust.
Samco intercooler hoses(not fitted yet)
Lagging downpipe(not fitted yet)
Removal of under bonnet resonator
Removal of inner wing resonator(not done yet)

i`m about to do the things in brackets.
any more tips before I start thinking of remaps/new ecus/boost controllers.

Yes, I`m looking that direction, but was after making all the detail changes first.
Just wondered if anyone has good advice or any more mods I`ve not mentioned.

I'd watch out for DET with the decat free-flowing exhaust as I'm getting it with one. I didn't know until I put a knocklink on it.

I wouldn't go the dawes route personally, save up the pennies and get it mapped proper

Your car will have the bigger turbo on it, so once freed up, its a bit more of a monster. A bit laggy but some good grunt when it comes on song. I had a MY96 with a full Magnex system and got 260 bhp on a warm day

ScoobyECU is essential, like adding the downpipe all over

Check out

www.jap-innovations.co.uk

There's lots of technical info on there for people new to the modding game.

There's also a highly modded 96 UK in the features section that you may want to look at. It just happens to be mine.
