Default knocklink test

having recentley fitted a k/l . how hard do you have to hit the bolt which holds the sensor.i have to hit it as hard as i can (using a 1/2 inch drive socket extension bar)to get the big red to light. is this right or should it take less effort than this.

cheers

Have you adjusted the pot on the knocklink to maximum sensitivity?.

Either you're not eating your weetabix or you have an issue it seems. You shouldn't have to hit it as hard as you can.

Take the sensor off and LIGHTLY tap the underside of it with something metal. That should light all your lights.

You may have a particularly insensitve sensor.

There is variation in response of the Bosch sensors, some go off at the slightest thing and others are a bit more reserved.
