Default engines how reliable??

Just how reliable are scoobies?,would really like one probably a 94-97 but there seems to be a lot of issues around engines going bang,as my pockets aren't REALLY deep just how much of an issue is it.Or is just bad luck!

scoob engines and supermarket fuel don't mix, if you can't afford to fuel it with optimax or at least super don't bother.

I would think you hear about the problems and not the lack of problems, that is all. They are more reliable than nissans for sure, but perhaps not quite up to toyotas and hondas (but very close and they are a lot more powerful so it could be argued they are built just as well).

Which nissan are you comparing to?
