What are the signs of Knocking?

if you buy and fit a knocklink (about £135) then its big orange or red lights.. well worth the money. If not ,go to a local Impreza specialist (not a dealer) and ask for a rolling road tune , if they have rollers,they'll use det cans to listen for knocking. In severe cases you can actually here it
I'm sure there'll be other ways though.

Just asking.
I run a totally standard MY00 so I dont think there should be any knocking but its nice to know what the signs are just incase.
I started with piston slap signs now knocking. What to know next?
